	- Airbags (9), front driver and passenger airbags, sidebags for driver, front passenger and outer rear occupants, full length windowbags, and kneebag for driver   - Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)   - Brake Assist system (BAS) The Brake Assist can provide protection against accidents by recognising emergency braking situations based on the speed with which the brake pedal is depressed and then automatically builds up full braking power. The Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) then meters the braking power up to the slip threshold, which ensures that steering control is maintained. Once the driver releases the brake pedal, the automatic brake boosting is immediately terminated.   - COMAND APS (Cockpit Management and Data System – Auto-Pilot System) (C 250 CGI, C 300) COMAND APS is equipped with a hard-disk-based navigation system with map display and a 7-inch colour display. It serves as the central control unit for all telematics components.  The system’s entertainment functions include a radio, an MP3/WMA/AAC compatible CD/DVD player with video function, an equalizer with speed-sensitive volume control, and the MUSIC REGISTER with 6 GB hard disk for storing digital music files. A PCMCIA slot and a Bluetooth® interface provides connections to external data devices and a mobile telephone.  In addition the Gracenote® database supplies information on the album and artist for CDs and DVDs. LINGUATRONIC allows you to comfortably and conveniently operate COMAND APS using voice entry.  Single-disc CD/DVD - Standard on C 250 CGI.  6-disc CD/DVD Changer - Standard on C 300.   - Cruise control with SPEEDTRONIC   - Electronic Stability Program (ESP®) with acceleration skid control (ASR) - Headlamp Assist and clear-lens headlamps with projector-beam technology The headlamp assist system reduces the strain on the driver by automatically switching on low-beam headlamps, tail lamps and number plate illumination when it gets dark outside. The assistance system performs this task even when it's raining or snowing by electronically detecting the cycles of the windscreen wipers.   - Multifunction leather steering wheel You can use the multifunction steering wheel to operate the information and entertainment functions of the vehicle without being distracted from traffic conditions. In addition the car is equipped with four intuitively arranged buttons for operating the display menu in the instrument cluster and adjusting the volume of the radio and sound system.   - PARKTRONIC The electronic parking aid PARKTRONIC monitors the front and rear of the vehicle during manoeuvring and warns the driver if there is a risk of collision. If the system identifies an obstruction, it provides a visual signal. As soon as the distance is less than approx. 35 cm, a short warning sound is emitted. When the vehicle gets even closer (less than approx. 25 cm away) a continuous signal is heard. PARKTRONIC uses this procedure to make parking safe, even with limited space available.   - PRE-SAFE® system The electronic parking aid PARKTRONIC monitors the front and rear of the vehicle during manoeuvring and warns the driver if there is a risk of collision. The desired temperature and air distribution are automatically regulated.
